HumanitApp field guide / By Hayato / October 10, 2026
After you click Apply.
A clicked link, an uploaded CV and a completed application are different things. Check the provider's final step before assuming you are waiting for a decision.
Choose the right route.
HumanitApp helps you compare opportunities. Your application, assessment and hiring decision happen with the provider. Sharing a CV with HumanitApp is optional and does not apply to Mercor or micro1.
- Current role
- Check its requirements and whether applications are open.
- Talent Network
- A pool for possible future projects, not guaranteed work.
- Optional updates
- A HumanitApp subscription is not a provider application.
Check the country, required experience, commitment and pay unit first. Remote does not mean worldwide. A listed rate is not an offer or a promise of hours. Compare pay and eligibility.
Mercor: confirm Submitted.
- Open the actual listing and review the current application checklist.
- Upload your resume and complete required authorization, interviews or assessments. Compatible steps may already be complete.
- For the standard application route, click Submit and confirm the green Submitted tag. Ready to submit is not Submitted.
- Check your dashboard for updates or new requirements.
Mercor recommends desktop Chrome for interviews. Test the camera and microphone before starting. Resume and assessment updates can sync across applications; do not assume each role stores a separate CV.
micro1: complete required steps.
- Follow the opportunity's instructions and provide an accurate CV/profile.
- Complete the required Zara AI interview unless micro1 confirms your existing certification satisfies it.
- Check application status in your talent dashboard.
- If selected, follow the official email's onboarding instructions.
Certification makes your skills eligible for consideration; it does not guarantee placement. Keep your profile and availability current while waiting. Assessments vary by domain.
Prepare evidence, not a script.
Choose work you can explain in detail. Use truthful examples of the problem, your decision and the outcome. Do not disclose confidential employer or client material. Answer assessments yourself and follow the provider's rules on assistance.
Finance
Can you explain a model you built, an assumption you challenged or a reconciliation you resolved?
Compare finance opportunities →Engineering and IT
Can you walk through a bug you diagnosed, a system you shipped or a trade-off you defended?
Compare engineering opportunities →An offer has its own checklist.
Review the actual rate, pay unit, weekly cap, start date and documents before accepting. Complete required verification, payment and tool setup. Begin work only when authorized. Mercor onboarding.
Ask your project contact what an accepted deliverable looks like, which activities are billable and what time-tracking and AI-use rules apply. Somebody else's project instructions are not permission for yours. Getting started / AI-use policy.
Projects can end or change scope. Performance and policy offboarding are separate possibilities. Read the notice and ask for clarification; do not budget on uninterrupted hours. Offboarding guide.
Before your next application.
- I meet the stated location and experience requirements.
- I understand the pay unit and expected commitment.
- My CV describes work I can explain and substantiate.
- I completed the provider's required steps and checked its status screen.
- I recorded the listing, submission date and next action for my own follow-up.
HumanitApp is independent and may receive a referral fee. Referral credit depends on the provider's eligibility rules and consent; it does not guarantee selection. No HumanitApp account, email or fee is required for direct Apply. Provider instructions take precedence over this guide.
